Law firms
AI receptionist for law firms. It takes new-client intake. It gives no legal advice.
When your front desk is on another line or you’re in court, Sí Call answers. It asks your intake questions, takes down who’s calling and what the matter is about, and files it for your team. Callers are told it’s an AI.
Plans open at launch. Nothing can be bought yet, and features marked “Coming soon” aren’t built yet.
What Sí Call does for a law firm
Answers when the desk can’t
It picks up while you’re in court, with a client or on another line, up to your plan’s number of calls at once.
Asks your intake questions
Name, number and the reason for the call, then the questions you add: the kind of matter, the county, the other party’s name.
Gives no legal advice
Its safety rules tell it never to answer legal questions. It takes an urgent message instead and tells the caller the firm will call back the same day.
Written up for your file
A transcript and a summary of each call in your dashboard when it ends, and the caller in your intake list when the call qualifies.
New clients call when something has gone wrong. Not every firm picks up.
When mystery shoppers called law firms and home-service companies in business hours, about 4 in 10 first calls went unanswered.2 Those are the hours you’re in court, in a meeting or already on the phone.
The calls a firm gets, and what it does with each.
A small firm’s phone carries new matters, injury cases, fee questions, consultation requests, existing clients and people who want advice now. Here is what Sí Call does with each at launch, and where it stops.
Caller“I need a lawyer for my divorce. Can someone call me back?”
A new matter
It takes their name, number and what the matter is about, asks the intake questions you’ve set and files the caller as a new lead for your intake team.
At launch
Caller“I was hurt in a car accident last month. Do I have a case?”
An injury case
When a caller mentions an accident or an injury, its instructions have it say first that if this is an emergency they should hang up and dial 911, and ask whether they’re safe. Then it gives no view on the case: it takes an urgent, detailed message and says the firm will call back the same day.
At launch
Caller“Do you handle custody cases? Is the first consultation free?”
Practice areas and fees
It answers from your firm’s info: the matters you take, where you practice, your consultation fee and office hours. If the answer isn’t in your info, it takes a message.
At launch
Caller“Can I book a consultation this week?”
A consultation
With your calendar connected, it offers open consultation times and books the one the caller picks, then reads it back. Without one, it takes the request.
At launch
Caller“My landlord gave me an eviction notice. What should I do?”
A request for legal advice
It doesn’t answer legal questions. It says it wants to get them to a person, and since it can’t put calls through yet, it takes an urgent, detailed message and says the firm will call back the same day.
At launch
Caller“What’s happening with my case?”
An existing client
It has no access to your case files, so it gives no case updates. It takes a message with the client’s name and what they need.
At launch
Caller“I need to speak to Ms. Alvarez today. It’s urgent.”
Asking for an attorney
It can’t put the caller through yet. It takes an urgent message, and a caller who says it’s urgent scores higher in your intake list. Passing a call to a phone you choose is coming soon.
Coming soon
Your intake questions, asked before the call ends.
Law firms run on Sí Call’s general setup, not a legal one. You make it yours with two lists: the questions to ask each caller, and the rules it follows.
What it asks
- The basics. The general setup has it take the caller’s name, a callback number and the reason for the call.
- Your questions. Add what your intake team asks: the kind of matter, the county, the other party’s name, how they heard about you. The answers are in the transcript and the summary.
- Names for your conflict check. It can collect them. It doesn’t run the check: your team does that before booking a consultation.
- Your rules, in plain words. For example, don’t say whether the firm will take a case. Declining legal questions is already in its own safety rules.
Growth includes a 30-minute onboarding call to set this up with you At launch, and Pro adds done-for-you setup At launch.
Questions to ask each caller
- What kind of legal matter is it?
- Which county is it in?
- What’s the other party’s name?
- How did you hear about the firm?
Rules to follow
- Don’t say whether the firm will take a case.
- Offer consultations on weekdays only.

A new client, start to finish. No advice, all the details.
A fictional family-law firm and a common first call. The caller asks what the law allows. Sí Call gives no answer: it says the line its safety rules give it, asks the firm’s intake questions and tells the caller the firm will call back today.

A custody question about a move out of state
AI notice, before the greetingYou’re speaking with an AI assistant, and this call is recorded and transcribed.
Wren & Castell Family Law. How can I help?
Hi. My ex wants to move out of state with our daughter. Can he do that?
I’m really sorry — that’s something I want to get you straight to a person for. One moment. Let me take a few details so an attorney can call you back today. May I have your name?
Morgan Lee.
Thank you, Morgan. Is this a good number to reach you?
Yes.
Which county is your case in?
Cook County.
And what’s the other parent’s name? The firm uses it to check for conflicts.
Daniel Novak.
How did you hear about the firm?
A friend recommended you.
Thanks, Morgan. I’ve noted your question about a planned move out of state with your daughter, in Cook County. Someone from the firm will call you back today.

What callers hear, and what’s kept.
Callers are told they’re talking to an AI in the opening words of the call. Here is what is recorded and stored, what is removed, and what we don’t claim.
What callers hear
With the default settings, calls open with the notice shown here, before your greeting. If your greeting already says it’s an AI, such as “You’ve reached the firm’s AI assistant”, only the recording notice is added. Telling callers they’re talking to an AI can’t be switched off.
Calls are recorded by default: the setting starts at “Record calls”, and the default notice says so. Choose “Don’t record calls” and no audio is recorded, and no transcript is saved to your call history. The call is still transcribed live so Sí Call can answer, and the default notice says “This call is transcribed in real time.” The notice plays in both settings, whatever state your firm or your caller is in.
What’s kept
With “Record calls”, each call is stored in your dashboard as a transcript and a summary, with the recording. Card numbers and Social Security numbers are removed from the transcript and summary, not from the audio. Stored data is encrypted at rest by default, and calls pass through the speech and AI vendors on our subprocessors list.
We hold no SOC 2 report, and we make no claim about attorney-client privilege or your professional duties. Ask your own ethics counsel how an AI receptionist fits your practice.

Callers land in your intake list. Newest first, each with a score.
When the call ends, the caller goes into your leads list with the matter, a summary and a score, ready for whoever handles intake.
Your intake list
A call becomes a lead when it lasts 30 seconds or more, or includes a booking or an urgent request. A booked consultation adds 30 points and an urgent request 15, so the callers to ring back first sit at the top.
Sí Call doesn’t connect to Clio or other practice-management software. Export your leads and your call list to CSV and bring them into your own system.

Questions from law firms.
Does it give legal advice?
No. Its safety rules tell it never to answer legal questions. When a caller asks one, it says “I’m really sorry — that’s something I want to get you straight to a person for. One moment.” It can’t put calls through yet, so it then takes an urgent, detailed message and tells the caller the firm will call back the same day. Plan to return those calls that day.
Can it run a conflict check?
No. It can collect the names you need for one: add a question such as “What’s the other party’s name?” and the answer is in the transcript and the summary. Your team runs the check before booking a consultation.
What happens when an existing client calls about their case?
It has no access to your case files, so it doesn’t give case updates. It takes a message with the client’s name and what they need, and the message is in your dashboard when the call ends.
Are calls recorded, and are callers told?
By default, yes: the setting starts at “Record calls”, and the default notice says the call is recorded and transcribed. Choose “Don’t record calls” and no audio is recorded, and no transcript is saved to your call history. The call is still transcribed live so Sí Call can answer, and the default notice says “This call is transcribed in real time.” The notice plays in both settings, whatever state your firm or your caller is in.
Can it book consultations?
At launch, yes: on a connected Google Calendar or Sí Call’s built-in calendar, it offers your open times, books one and reads it back. Changing or cancelling by phone isn’t supported yet, and Acuity and Calendly are coming soon.
Does it work with Clio or our case-management software?
No. Sí Call doesn’t connect to practice-management software, and that isn’t on the near-term plan. You can export your leads and your call list to CSV. Sending leads to HubSpot or Salesforce is planned, and webhooks are coming soon.
What about calls at night or on the weekend?
They’re answered the same way, up to your plan’s calls at once, and they’re in your dashboard in the morning. It can’t reach an attorney during the call: at launch Sí Call emails you after each call, and alerts by text or phone, passing a call to a phone you choose and an after-hours greeting are coming soon.
Does it speak Spanish?
Not yet in a way we can promise. English is the language we support today, and Spanish is coming soon. We won’t present it as working until a Spanish call works end to end.
Can I buy Sí Call today?
